Clothworkers

The Clothworkers’ Foundation

In 2023, Ten Years Time (TYT) and Liberating Knowledge (LK) were appointed as learning partners for the Clothworkers Foundation’s Racial Equity Programme (REP), which was launched that same year. This initiative marks the Foundation’s commitment to addressing racial inequity, forming the first of potentially five Equity Programmes to be unveiled over the next three years, each targeting various forms of inequality. Under the REP, grants were awarded to the Ubele Initiative, Do It Now Now, Baobab Foundation, and Action for Race Equality. Over the next three years we will be working with the Clothworkers and grantees to:

  • Explore how they experience the Clothworkers approach to grant giving
  • Assessing the impact of core costs to enable an organisation to meet their charitable objectives.
  • Providing space for granthlders to come together and share learning
  • Interrogate the role of philanthropic capital and how centering racial justice practices could inform the foundations future strategic planning and decision making processes
